While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. Only employees of Cover Me Celtic who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerks or customer service representatives) are granted access to personally identifiable information. In any e-commerce shopping cart transaction, it is necessary to obtain information about you to bill, confirm and ship your order. At Cover Me Celtic, our policy is to use the information you share with us to complete your transaction. Period. The information you provide us will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any third party for any purpose.

Cover Me Celtic uses IP addresses and log files to analyze trends, administer the site and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. We do share aggregate statistics with our business partners, but this is not tied to personally identifiable information.

NEWSLETTER

If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name, and email address. Subscribers of The Cover Me Celtic Gazette may voluntarily opt out of our mailing list to discontinue their subscription to The Gazette. 

As with our purchase process, we only use the information collected in the aggregate registration form to fulfill the transaction you requested. We keep your information confidential and will follow up with communications regarding you interest.

If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site we ask them for the friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. We store this information just for the purpose of sending this one-time email.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the users computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We only use Session ID cookies. For the Session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user’s hard drive for an extended period of time. We DO NOT use them.

Some of our business partners may use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies once we have given permission for them to set cookies for advertising.

We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collect ID information. Our privacy statement applies solely to information collected by Cover Me Celtic.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with an appropriate law enforcement investigation, current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our web site.
